wake up call

It was the first day in a long time that I was going to get to sleep in. Guess who calls and wakes me up at 6:25 a.m. The United States Government! When I see that come up on the caller ID, I always cringe. So, I got up and went out and took some photos. This was my favorite today.

I am going to Barnesville, Woodsfield, Quaker City, Jerusalem, Caldwell, Old washington, and Bealsville today. I should have some more photos to post later.

blowing bubbles

I guess you are never too old to blow bubbles. The girls and I had a great time. I can't believe how old I am looking.

Day spent with mom and sister

I picked Justine up at Mike's house today. We met mom at the Goodwill Store. We all decided that we would not donate clothes to the Goodwill anymore. They have raised their prices so high that people who are in need cannot afford to shop there. It is pretty sad when you can buy something cheaper at an antique store than you can at the goodwill. We know of two other places where we can donate clothes and they are given out free to those in need.

We went to Chipolte grill for lunch. It was a first for all three of us. I don't think we will go there again. I had a taco salad and ice tea...........$8.01.

We went to a couple antique stores. Justine bought me a concrete dog for in the yard. It was love at first site, but I was too cheap to pay $5.50, so Justine bought it for me. Next week I will find something a bit more pricey and see if she buys it for me!! (kidding).

Upcoming Surgery

For anyone who hasn't heard yet, I will be having a hysterectomy soon. I thought about asking the Doctor if I could stay awake during the procedure so I could photograph my insides. Is anyone interested in seeing a uterus?.....let me know.
I am just kidding. I do not want to stay awake for the procedure.

Nature

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep Sea, and music in its roar. I love not Man the less, but Nature more. - Lord Byron, 1788-1824, English Poet

Autumn Olive in Le Pere vase

Jim and I were driving down Rt. 313 and I smelled a strong perfumy smell and there were these bushes of tiny white flowers on both sides of the road for a couple miles. I stopped and broke off a branch. Anyone know what these flowering bushes are called?????
Mystery solved! These are called Autumn Olive. They are very invasive. They are considered a weed. They get red berries in the fall. They attract birds, butterfly, and cyotes.
