Just a couple more snow and ice pictures.

I went out to mom's on Feb 15th and tooks some pictures. I am posting a few of them. Jim and the girls and I went snowboarding for the first time on Valentines day. There was a lot of falling down! I didn't get any pictures because I was afraid I would fall and land on my camera.

I was supposed to start Adult Education night classes tonight but they were cancelled due to this snow storm. I was taking a 4 week coarse on how to use my Adobe Photoshop. Oh well.

The post office called a little bit ago and I have to make a 170 mile trip for them around Woodsfield, Caldwell, Barnesville, Byesville, and Quaker City. I think I will start out an hour early to leave myself some safe travel time (and picture taking time).

What a day I've had. I spent 6 hours trying to opt-out of the union. This is the second year in a row that I have tried to do this. Last year I was given the wrong information which held me up until it was past my anniversary date. So I have been paying dues all year for something that I was getting nothing out of. This year I started earlier to leave myself enough time and again I was given the wrong information. I am begining to think that I might be a life time member.

I love pictures. I love to look at other peoples pictures. I could spend all day on flickr.com. I hardly ever post a blog. So I am going to give it a try.

I am a mail carrier for the usps. I am considered part time, but I get full time hours. Ever have one of those jobs?? I am on-call until 9am every morning. Even Sundays. Did you know that express mail is still delivered on Sundays? I run a regular 70 mile route on Saturdays and any other day that my regular carrier takes off. Some Sundays I do express mail. Monday thru Friday I pick up mail at surrounding post offices and bring it back to Zanesville to be processed. I get called just about everyday to do this. The plus side of this job is the pay and that Mon-Fri, and Sundays are days spent traveling. Sometimes I go 200 miles! I found places in Ohio that have never been discovered by anyone else! I have stopped to ask inmates from the penatentuary for directions. I have delivered human ashes. I have been kissed (on the mouth) at the mailbox. I have driven over a bridge for weeks without knowing that a womans body was underneith. I have walked into a crematorium and saw uncovered naked bodies on guerneys. I guess you could say that my job is not boring.

Muskingum County Fair Update:

I got a second place red ribbon for the picture of Jim and a first place blue ribbon for the picture of Stephen fishing. I also entered a frog picture which got an orange ribbon for honorable mention.

I took this picture of my husband Wednesday afternoon when we took our nephews fishing at Dillion State Park.

The eye of the fern.

I know this is kind of disturbing, but I wanted relatives to see it. This is my sister Justine's ankle. She was run over by a forklift at work. The first picture was actually taken second. This is after the infection set in. The pictures were taken a week apart. The first picture was taken on June 1st. The injury is 3 weeks old now. Still swollen and infected.
